The base Energy maximum is 6, though you can

Demons possess the insidious ability to chip away at one's mental health.
Starting at Circle 1, each demon battle that you endure increases your
Insanity by 1 point. Every 9
Insanity points increases your Insanity level by 1.

Each Insanity level decreases your battle stats by 1.
-
For example, if you have an Insanity level of 2, your
Attack, Defense, Magic,
Speed, and Faith levels will be
reduced by 2 (but no stat level will go below 1).

You can decrease your Insanity level by:
- Conjuring and slaying an Otherworld demon.
-
The DemoniCore Brethren have honed not only the art of
Conjuring this rare demon type, but of extracting their unique cosmic energy to stabilize and strengthen
one's mental state.

The Circle of Hell from which you conjure the Otherworld demon
determines how many Insanity levels will be subtracted when you slay it.
-
For example, slaying an Otherworld demon from the 1st Circle of Hell
will reduce your Insanity level by 1, whereas slaying one from the
5th Circle of Hell will reduce it by 5.

An Otherworld demon does not drop DCORE when slain.

Upgrading your Attack, Defense, Magic,
Speed, or Faith level.

Your Insanity level is reduced by the level number of your stat upgrade, e.g. upgrading
Speed to level 3 will decrease your Insanity by 3 levels, or
27 points.

Owning a cat NFT card. By holding a cat familiar in your collection,
your Insanity will decrease each day - and the rarer the cat, the bigger the reduction.

Buying a sanity potion. Click the icon next to your Insanity level stat.

One potion reduces Insanity by 1 level (9 points).

Every seven days, all players with a positive Insanity balance will naturally heal by 1 point.
Your Circle represents the level you have attained as a
Brethren of DemoniCore.

The higher your Circle, the higher the Circle of Hell from
which you can conjure a demon. Demons from higher Circles of Hell are harder to kill, but
drop bigger DCORE rewards.

A higher Circle gives you a higher Base health. Your health
determines how much damage you can take from a demon in battle before you are defeated.

Increasing your Circle also increases your chances of winning a random NFT drop after
slaying a demon.

Click on the icon in the stats box under your username and title, to
stake enough DCORE to ascend to the next Circle.
Your Circle represents the level you have attained as a
Brethren of DemoniCore.

The higher your Circle, the bigger your DCORE reward for
exorcising a possession demon from its victim.

Increasing your Circle also increases your chances of winning a random NFT drop at the
conclusion of a successful exorcism.

Click on the icon in the stats box under your username and title, to stake
enough DCORE to ascend to the next Circle.

Note that if you Ascend to a higher Circle, your rewards will not change for currently available exorcisms,
but will be higher for new ones.
NFT cooldown is the time during which you
cannot use an NFT because it was used too recently by another player.
-
Some cards impose an NFT cooldown, meaning that once you use it, another player may
not take advantage of its powers until 48 hours have passed.
-
If you are the last person to use an NFT, the cooldown does not apply to you.
-
The NFT cooldown does not prevent you from sending a card to another player.
-
When you send to someone a card that is on cooldown, it will show up in their inventory with an hourglass icon
underneath.
They can keep the card, but cannot make use of it until the cooldown is over.
